The intimate surgery for women

Vaginal rejuvenation and labiaplasty in Sydney and Melbourne: the least seen, but most appreacited change to a woman's body!

We offer the women of Sydney and Melbourne the treatments of Labiaplasty (the alternative spelling is labioplasty), Labia Majora reduction (somtimes know as a Mons Reduction), Clitoral hood reduction (not clitoral dehood or circumcision) and Vaginoplasty (Vaginal Rejuvenation, Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation or the Designer Vagina).

There practical as well as aesthetic reason woman undertake this type of surgery. Sometimes, the inner labia are too large, and protrude well past the outer lips. This can lead to chronic irritation, rubbing, or discomfort with wearing certain clothes or during sexual intercourse. Many women can be troubled by the bulging with certain clothing such as wet swimsuits or leotards.

A labiaplasty itself may result in the appearance of a relatively larger clitoral area since the excess labia have been removed drawing the eyes to the clitoral region. This can be reduce with a clitoral hood reduction.

Many women also notice that after major weight loss and the effects of child birth the outer tissue of the vagina may become lax. There are proceedures that remove the excess vaginal skin, tighten the muscles and narrow the diameter of the vagina resulting in a smaller opening and vaginal canal, with increased friction in intimate encounters.

There has been a recent position statement from the RACOG indicating that this area of medicine has not yet been the subject of wide ranging research. That would be true of any new area that helps people. Other bodies, such as the Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery indicated checking the experience of those performing in this branch of Medicine. Our practictioner is, to our knowledge, the only person in Australia trained by the American Academy of Cosmetic Gynegologists.
